Last night our little princess left the ball just before the stroke of midnight.
We are so sad to say that Jacqui is gone. Last Sunday, the pain came again and this time it couldn't be stopped. She has been heavily sedated since Monday and last night she'd had enough and decided to start on her next adventure. She'd had many meaningful visits over the past few weeks with many that she loved deeply and was at peace. A little visit from little Miss Jany yesterday made things complete. Peter, Tyler, Britt and I were with her and the last words she said were "I love you". Which sums her up to a tee and please know that she loved you all too.
In what only seems like a moment to her, she'll turn from her dance, and you'll be there.
ReplyDeletePraying for you all

Howard and I are so very sorry for your loss, there are no words to describe what has happened. We know that Jacqui was an amazing inspiration for everyone that she encountered. We were very blessed to know this beautiful person, may her beauty shine on forever. XOXOX
ReplyDelete"How does one become a butterfly?" Pooh asked pensively. "You must want to fly so much that you are willing to give up being a caterpillar," Piglet replied. "You mean to die?" asked Pooh. "Yes and No" he answered. "What looks like you will die, but what's REALLY you will live on." A.A. Milne
ReplyDeleteSo beautifully said Carol. Jacqui gave me encouragement and advice that I have held onto in the darker moments of this journey through cancer. She was an inspiration to me and one of my heroes. Now I sit here and weep for you and your family and this parting. Jacqui, until we meet again.....thank you.
ReplyDeletefrom what I have seen and heard of her, she impacted more lives and shone more brightly than most who have lived until their 80s. What a dancing beauty. And yet, I am so very very sad for your loss of her.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear of your loss Carol and family. While I never actually knew Jacqui, because of growing up with you Carol back in Maple Ridge I hurt for you and pray that you and all your family will sense a peace beyond all human understanding!
ReplyDeleteI am so sad to hear of your loss of Jacqui. There is definitely a new angel in heaven. I just had watched her video yesterday. What a remarkable young woman. She did so many things in her lifetime we could only aspire to do. Her faith and yours are to be so admired. My thoughts are with you in this time of remembrance and a celebration of her life. I am sure that would be what she wanted.
ReplyDeleteHeartbreaking to hear this. She was a friend & will be missed. She is an inspiration, though.. to SO many people. She will be remembered.
ReplyDeleteLove and prayers will continue to be sent your way. We are so blessed to have known Jacqui. She will always be an angel in our hearts.
ReplyDeleteSuch heartbreaking news to have to read! I was a friend of Jacqui's Aunt Grace and have followed Jacqui's journey from the beginning! Jacqui continued to inspire me over the years with her amazing courage and zest for life! We have truly lost a beautiful soul! Xoxo
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for your loss. I only had the pleasure of meeting Jacqui a few times through a dear friend, but Jacqui was always spoken so fondly of. She was always kind, genuine and amazed me with her positive attitude and outlook on life. Even though I didn't know her well, she reached out to me when my step mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and I was scared and had questions. She just seemed to know what to say and how to say it.
ReplyDeleteI am truly sorry for your loss and my prayers go out to all her friends family and loved ones. May she be remembered fondly.
Such terribly sad news Carol, you have had to be so brave and endure so much heartache. Jacqui was a wonderful person and a tribute to you and Peter. Sending all our love. X
